Saratoga National Historical Park
In the Autumn of 1777 American forces clashed with and defeated British forces here in the Battle of Saratoga. This summer evening, 236 years later, was much more serene and offered a chance to sit and contemplate the rich history of this place.
This charming little red farmhouse, with a nearly 360-degree panoramic view of the area, was built by John and Lydia Neilson in 1775 or 1776.
